here's the thing that is great about cats:  they don't come when you call them anyway.

That is a foul lie.

yeah, my cats don't respond by name, but if I click at them they come running.

also, it makes my wife feel bad that the cats follow me around.  If I wake up in the middle of the night and go into the other room to look at the internet, they follow me and lay down to go to sleep in the same room.  This despite the fact that she feeds them and changes their litter.
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time

Well, then, it's a foul lie about my cats, who respond to their names quite nicely, thank you very much.

you should try calling them by 10 different names each and see if they respond.

I don't have to call mine. They follow me like little lemmings. Even into the bathtub (or at least they try)
from the land of pleasant living

Hmmm I agree with Horse.

Looks good to FOTs, bad to the uneducated. My 10-year-old cousin named his dog "Badger" for some reason and his mother likes to confide in us that "it's a stupid name! You wouldn't name your kid, like, I don't know, Monkey or something, so why would you name your dog after another animal!"

Perhaps there is someone this rage-y in your life. In which case, you want to avoid this kind of conflict.

Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.
