Jay Reatard is playing tonight in Dnever.  But I am going to miss it for three reasons:

(1) Sold out

(2) Am going to a fancy debate tonight at the law school (RIAA lawyers v. EFF lawyers debating suing students for file sharing-- pretty much the coolest thing ever)

(3) It's freaking Wednesday

That's the bad part of living in the provinces.  Awesome bands come through sometime but only because they're passing through anyway, and play on weeknights.

I'm going to both shows (I'm walking distance to Europa, why wouldn't I?). I will set up "deet's" for the Europa show, if someone else wants to organize the field trip to Bowery Ballroom soda's.

If it were left up to me, we would spend both nights at the Russian Bath/Veterans Association that you can usually find me in, but this isn't about me.
