I love birds, especially social birds like starlings and crows. And grackles. When I worked at a business, I used to go to the garden in the library at lunch and watch sparrows roll in the dust.

I visited Austin for the first time last year, and I realized that I don't actually hate hipsters.  The Austin kids I encountered looked exactly like Williamsburg kids, except they were nice.  I think if NYC hipsters weren't so frequently pushy, self-absorbed, rich, coked-up assholes (or people who are not any of these things but driven to meanness by the general vibe here, as I will admit to having been at times), I'd like them just fine.
