target's archer farms brand has an awesome white chocolate drizzled snack mix that hits both the sweet and salty spots... hard.

I really enjoy black licorice, but I tried this stuff they had at World Market called "double salt licorice" or something like that and it was the foulest thing I've ever put in my mouth. I don't know if this is the same thing being discussed in this thread, but ugh. It was like pouring the entire contents of a salt shaker into your mouth at once - almost paralyzingly salty.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I'm a bit confused - I usually make the distinction between "(sweet) licorice" and "salt licorice", not "black licorice". Love them all, but I know many people despise salt licorice.

"Jungle Howl", very popular around here. Super salty.

In Slovenia and Croatia they have these little salt boutiques that sell this awesome salt that's harvested from marshes off of the Adriatic.  They sell chocolate with salt flower, which is about the most amazing thing ever.

Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

In Scandinavia they have this candy called Turkish Peber that is black licorice hard candy filled with salt in the middle.  It's amazing.  I've never had the altoids.

Can't get enough of them.

Oh my God! They are so good. Edit: Can you find them in the U.S.? I just remembered where you live.

I love how "indulgent" is code for "holy shit that's a lot of calories."

Trail Mix has an absurd amount of calories.  Sometimes these teeny tiny packages will say like "Number of Serving per Package: 9" in order that they don't have to list 1,000 + calories.

Pressbyrån, sure. Pressbyrån ("The Press Bureau") is like Seven-Eleven.

I believe many IKEA stores sell assorted Swedish food, including sweets. You might be lucky and find some Peber there.
