My wife, D, and I went yesterday and it was sure fun. I felt bad for those two crazy kids.

I got mad at Marie when she cheated on the King with that dopey soldier, but I forgave her when they chop her head off with the brooch pin.

Also, where do I go and get cakes like the cakes in that show?

Also, Asia Argento is weird as hell, but kind of cute.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this film, if for no other reason than it makes you hate peasants even more than you probably already do.

If I ever make a horror movie, it'll be a remake of Reanimator, except Omar Shariff will play the Sheik and he'll bring Diana back, and they can have awesome parties / bloody Masonic murder orgies until the end of time.

Am I alone in feeling that Sophia is the worst? A co-worker explained to me some hidden autobiographical clues in Lost in Translation. Is this suppost to be impressive or something? Supposedly all the characters in the movie are people in her real life. blah.
I have suffered watching the Virgin Suicides, was bored by the mediocre Lost in Translation and an not prepared to chance her latest drear-fest.

Of course, I wouldn't actually watch Marie Antionette for less than $200, so you might be right, it might be the best flipbook since Stay Hungry. I'll lay off the Haterade.

Seriously, though... the tent caterpillar? When I was a kid, I used to catch them and make them race one another, and they never complained.

Pierrot Le Fou is not a comedy!  Or if it is, it's not very funny!  Except the very last scene.

How could Lost In Translation POSSIBLY be based on real-life people!?!  You mean there's really a distracted husband who thinks bubbly hot blondes are fun and doesn't want to make fun of them?  NO WAY!  And there's really a depressed, past-his-prime charming middle aged man out there who is able to impress young women in unfulfilling relationships who also have father issues?!  I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!

I actually kinda liked that movie though.

I actually enjoyed Lost in Translation, pretty much exclusively due to Bill Murray. Now hearing this crap I wish I could go back in time and shoot myself in the face instead.

The distracted hipster husband is supposed to be Spike Jones.  I actually kinda related to that character the most out of everyone in the movie.  Does that make me an asshole?

I just saw Marie Antoinette and it eats.  I am actually going to go ahead and rescind my liking of Lost In Translation now that I've seen Marie Antoinette.  It's like a movie that's supposed to make you feel sorry for the clueless rich people that ruin the world.  Now is maybe the worst time for a movie with that message to come out.  Sophia Coppola needs to pull her head out of her ass.  Even the soundtrack was lame.  Maybe the pro-Antoinette of Grimlock involves some kind of irony(??)--I don't know, but it's basically a waste of time.  I can totally see Legions of tweens who will grow up lapping up this brain-poison on DVD and going on to fuck up the future.  Thanks a lot, Coppola Mafia! The only thing that would make this movie good would be if you got to see Kristen Dunst's head on a plate or if the dudes from A Clockwork Orange made a cameo, came to Versailles and beat everybody with canes while singing "Singin' In The Rain".
