This episode has caused me to worry, like a lot of people here, about my own cat's eventual health woes.

I propose an ongoing "FOT Sick Cat Fund." I'd ante up $20 a month into a pool that could benefit any FOTs with sick cats and limited means. Maybe we could open a savings account.

I work from home, and value my cat's company much more than it's probably cool to admit. In California, $20 gets your four gallons of gas. I'd forego one beach trip a month to help a troubled feline.

Dog buffs, you're on your own.

whats interesting about all this heart-warming gush is that i'll probably never meet any of you (due to circumstances, not choice), which makes it all the more endearing.

I'm sorry to say I can't participate purely because I've no money, and shan't be earning for a while due to "hilarious" immigration issues.

I highly recommend getting that Paypal account started before you need the cash.  If you request a check it will take a few days to be processed.
