Ok, this pisses me off. The folks selling this hunk of plastic shit KNOW that the only people that are gonna buy them are little ol grandmas who wanted to surprise little Jimmy on his birthday with the 'guitar-playing-electronic-thing' that he's always going on about.

that's straight up predatory marketing to me (is that even a term? it is now.) Really, I see this sort of thing to be just a shade more legit than that whole "Congratulations, you've been selected for the BIG PRIZE! We just need your social security # and a credit card first" scam.

shame on you, Guitar Idol!

That's pretty bad but I don't think little Jimmy was expecting much from a grandma who'd buy that.

Guitar Idol just shows how little the world of toy technology has actually progressed, because it in no way measures up to the greatness of HIT STIX.

HIT STIX.
This may be the year I will disappear.

HIT STIX.

How is it that there still isn't some crappy indie band with a drummer who solely uses Hit Stix?

I still don't get the whole air guitar thing.  Maybe I'm not wired to get it but playing a nonexistent, invisible guitar seems a bit silly to me.
