I've watched the Scharpling-audio version of this movie like 4 or 5 times now.  One of the best things that exists.  Some day I'll actually sink it up for real and make a new DVD.  Someday...

I keep waiting for Roadhouse to show up on a commercial-free station so I can finally experience the full beauty of Tom's performance.

Yeah, I recorded it from TV and I had a hard time syncing it up. It was certainly interesting to hear the alternate audio from the parts that were censored from broadcast (for reasons other than running time).

I still need to do this. I haven't listened to Tom's version yet because it doesn't seem to make sense without having the visual accompaniment and I don't own the DVD.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I like Tom's commentary
but I love the rifftrax (former MST3K alums) version.

I was trying to think of a more current film that Tom might give the Roadhouse Treatment to.  The only thing that I can come up with is Starship Troopers and that's pretty unwatchable.

Roadhouse is a singular type of film.
