I just got the first Roxy Music album.  I like it! I should probably get more.

You should at least get the second one (Music for Pleasure). The ones after that are different (but still good IMO).

Their first two records with Brian Eno are tremendous. The subsequent albums, like Country Life and Siren, are slightly less tremendous, but still great.

Actually, I think Country Life might be my favorite album of theirs.

Avalon is trediculous.

Yes, that's good.

Correct. When I pulled the actual vinyl out of the sleeve, it was this instead:

That whole plot line where Squiggy found that cold fusion generator and carried it around with him all the time is easily the second or third weirdest episode of Laverne & Shirley.
This may be the year I will disappear.

A true story is that I bought the Roxy Music live album at one time and inside I found a Whitesnake record (Slide it In). Some friends who did not share my preferences in music thought I had lucked out and that I should have taken the Whitesnake record and been happy about it instead of taking it back to the store to get the Roxy Music record.

Slide It In is a solid record.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Roxy Music is fine by me, but if you're looking for Brian Ferry's best work...

I can appreciate Whitesnake in an abstract way now. The main point of the story was that I am not as laid back as I often present myself.

It did get weird after they moved to LA.  Or was that after it changed to "Laverne DiFazio and Shirley Feeny's Place"?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Turns out the difference between Lenny and Squiggly and The Blasters is mostly one of context.  Really makes you think.

I liked it better when this guy fronted Roxy Music:

Big Train Virginia Plain

As to what I am listening to - I just finished the You Had To Be There podcast episode with Ted Alexandro and Ted Leo. I had never listened to it before, but the draw of a Ted Leo appearance is something I can't resist. It was good. And Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer look exactly like they sound. I was kinda shocked that my image of them based from listening was 100% accurate.

Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.
