Man o man that was a good one.  The guests have been great, but it's also nice to just have a show of Tom and the phones and a Wurster call.
Oh, and "My husband is pee-ussed!"

Catching up on this week's ep now. Roy shouting out Philly neighborhoods was great. I assume Jon was just reading off of a SEPTA (our transit system) map. But he included my neighborhood of WISSAHICKON, which is a section of Roxborough. And he also made mention of Ivy Ridge, which is a train station in Manayunk in a section of town best known for its auto body shops and flooding.

Also: Love the reference to MODERN BASEBALL, who are my favorite current Philly band. Great pop-punk.

I'm sure we handled the topic exactly the same way.

Not even close.

Andy: "Okay caller, you love the show..."
Caller: "I love the sh-"
Andy: "You can't believe you got through"
Caller: "I can't b--"
Andy: "Okay, and what can't you identiy, what is something in popular culture, it could be a movie, it could be a song, it's just something you can't get out of your head and you need us to help you figure out what it is..."
Caller: "Well, when I was a kid, I saw this--"
Andy: "Yes, yes I'm listening..."
Caller: "--movie on channel 11, do you remember channel 11"
Andy: "Yes, I remember channel 11. Oh, Ken."
Ken: "Just stick with it. So the old channel 11, where they used to play movies."
Caller: "Yeah, sometimes they'd play Abbott and Costello movies..."
Andy: "Oh, Ken. Oh, ken. I'm done..."

Technically, I think the show they did was just about obscure stuff that you can't find online.

Technically I think it was just them workshopping Evan Breckman's standup for an hour.

#IWasLiedTo episode was really really great. So many great moments:
- Mystery Caller revealing behind the scenes ugliness of The Muppets work day
- The Ice Cream lie
- The run of GOMPs starting with "You'd like to know who I am, Tom, wouldn't you?" through the CB Radio bit, re caller sound quality
- Greenpoint's Toilet Man Dan
- Gary & Mike At The Movies: the upbeat anthem looping in the background juxtaposed with both Gary & Mike unite in slogging through layers of defeat and grief from the terrible movies they experienced.

Worst moment was the Australian caller: maybe the truly worst call ever?

EDIT: I totally forgot FONPR's call, which is a REALLY great call to kick off the show for first time listeners.

I loved that draftkings.com ad and the hollow silence right before it.

The Gary and Mike Show was a hoot and 5/8ths.

Tom's read of the Draftkings copy was truly his Putney Swope.

I think the live read of the draft kings ad was one of my favorite parts of the show.  I could feel Tom's angst.

The birthday party story with night church was so depressing.
