I almost choked on a mouthful of elf meat when I just read this quote from George R.R. Martin:

The show, now entering the realm of the series' third book, is catching up with him. "I can't see the locomotive yet, but I hear the tracks vibrating," the Thrones supremo said, employing one of the most high-tech metaphor in his mostly medieval arsenal.

Took me right back to last week's show and Tom's thoughts on Mr. "Railroad" Martin

I'm impressed that the Cardinal knew of Rock 'n Roll Heaven, the 1980s NJ heavy metal record store run by Metallica's manager.  I've long been fascinated by the existence of the Old Bridge Metal Militia (despite being more a new waver as a teen during that time).  None of the pics I've seen included any apparent clergy members, though.

He really oughta launch a second career under the " RailRoad Martin " moniker ... as a singer of super-corny old time folk songs.

Seconded.  Also the horrible turn that last episode of The Waltons took.

Best:

"Russell Crowe sings in this thing? I'm out."

Mike being discriminated against for being white.

Mike referring to Shoah as Shiloh.

Worst:

No Larry D. Perv.
Ever do nothing and gain nothing from it?
Ever feel stupid and then know that you really are?
Ever think you're smart and then find out you aren't?
Ever play the fool and then find out that you're worse?

I love it when Mike chuckles at his own wit.

Mike: Did I mention what a great name that is?

Therese: What, Ian Gillan?

Mike: Murray Head? Heh heh heh....

Therese: Murray Head? Yes you did. Yes you did.

Mike: ...heh heh heh...(deep sigh)

(several beats silence)
