so i am all of the sudden in the market for a new dvd player. my 9 year old pioneer is showing its age and i would like to upgrade to something with more output options for the future.
anyone have a region free dvd player that they would recommend? so far, i have concluded that the Pioneer dv-400 looks like the best bet...
anyone?
sorry about the "tech talk"

What's your budget?
Why not go the distance and get a BD player? It probably won't be region free for BD (locked for Region A = America), but it's pretty easy to make it DVD region free, from what I hear.

BD = Blu Ray
You'll get a decent brand new DVD player for $150.

I got mine, a Daewoo DVD-5800 from eBay for like $60 a few years ago, and that just came with a simple software hack to make it region free. Can't see that one still on eBay though - maybe google it?
