so i'm putting the finishing touches on my new screenplay.  i can say without a doubt that it is one of the most kick-ass screenplays i have ever read.  i don't want to give too much away because someone could steal this idea, but just imagine you could take everything that you've ever thought was cool and put it into one perfect movie, it would be this movie.   

now i need to be able to send it to some people who can get this shit made.  and get me paid.  i have a few good contacts that i'm going to hit up, but i want to cast the net wide.  so if anyone fellow Friends of Tom (so great, so awesome THATS' OUR TOM!) know some big named actors and/or directors/producers/agents/manaagers, then maybe you could pass my script along to them?  if it all works out, i'll invite you to the premeires and oscar parties.

there's definately zombies and a murderer.  not much in the way of karate, though there's plenty of ass kicking in general.  karate wouldn't have fit with this screenplay.  but my new script is all about a mixed martial arts competition and an underdog drug addict who wins it all.  it's actualy a pretty epic journey.  it's the most complicated screenplay i've probably ever written.   but you alway shave to challenge yourself as an artist.  oh yeah, and it has the greatest title ever:  KICK ASS:  THE MOVIE.  i just got super high and came up with the coolest name for a movie ever.  the rest is pretty much writing itself.

yeah, actually.  there's a couple of women.  most get killed, but what do youe xpect from a horror movie?  but it's also a tender love story, so there's also a sweet love interest character who survives.  you've gotta play by the rules in hollywood.

Perhaps you could get a little crew together yourself and maybe shoot a short based on the idea. Pop it on youtube and generate some "buzz". This would get the attention of producers and the folks who could maybe make things happen on a larger scale. That approach has worked for quite a few folks, and there's no excuse it's too expensive or that the tools aren't there.

you gotta just DO IT, man. I'm not saying that your script is not so awesome that it won't totally blow the minds of some big agent, but the fact of the matter is that they are getting 15,000 scripts sent to them a week and probably read maybe 2-3 of them. If there is something you have that can be shown, and is popping around to different messageboards and blogs, it will get noticed (if it's actually something good).

thanks for the encouragement dude, but i don't think making a shitty youtube video is gonna help me.  i'm not a director and i don't know any.  it would take a serious budget to get all these zombie animal special effects up to snuff.  if i tried to make a short out of this, it would probably do more damage than good.  people would watch it and say 'shit, that looks retarded.'  but if they read teh script, they'd be like 'shit, this thing is bad ass.'
