I'm strangely intrigued by Jack Cafferty, actually.

He has this air of "playing out the string". It is like he almost doesn't want to be there.

The most intriguing woman in America plans to zing Obama in her speech tonight:

Quote
Contrasting her resume with that of the Democratic presidential nominee, she says: "I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a 'community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities."

It ain't ego, it's my love for you.

My Fiance (who was a community organizer) is going to go through the fricking roof.

I've been trying really hard to not hate her, but that quote makes it all but impossible.

I can't wait to see Joe Biden tear her a new one.

I dunno, I think he lacks the je ne sais quois of Ernie Anastos.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

As a life-long democrat, I have to say that this woman is the biggest threat to come along in a while.  The New York Times is doing everyone a disservice by pointing out what they deem to be skeletons in her closet.  It is a waste of time.  No single skeleton they have uncovered is enough to bring this person down.  These skeletons will all be overlooked in the long run, much like Cheney's.  The Right will rally around her, seeing her as "running the gauntlet of the liberal media" and surviving.

The most we can hope for is that she slips up somewhere on the campaign trail or during the debate with Biden.  OR maybe her popularity and strength makes McCain look weak.

Her speech tonight left me very, very concerned.  The Right may have their next Reagan.

Bend over Abigail Mae, here comes the Palin pipe!  Don't even THINK of factchecking her!

Bravo to Harry Reid for already putting out a boneheaded response though.

As many of you may already know, I've pretty much given up on American Democracy.  Having said that:  I hate this lady, but it's really a bummer to listen to liberal friends try and drum up alarm about her alleged attempts to pressure someone to fire her sister's ex-boyfriend or whatever.  Seriously?  How about the part where she's a proselytizing religious kook who conflates politics and religious destiny?  Oh that's right, one of those is president already.  That's right, never mind.  Yeah, make a zinger about abstinence programs!

Yes, he *does* lack the je ne sais quoi of ernie anastos.

Since everyone seems to be talking about how offended they are about something someone has said or done in this race, while lobbing grenade's in the other party's direction, I'll agree with tomkaters that the disparaging remarks about community organizers were not too cool.  Not too cool at all.  In my world, that's one of the most honorable and often thankless jobs that anyone can do. I hope to hear some acknowledgement of this.

Finally!  Somebody sticks it to the community organizers.  They've gotten a free ride for too long.  \

They aren't religious kooks. The only God they know is the one that gets them elected but in reality they have no personal relationship with any God. They run on the Republican ticket and use their favorite catchphrase "pro-life" to win, but, we all know that Roe v. Wade will never be overturned because then normal people wouldn't have a reason to vote Republican anymore. We had a conservative house/senate/presidency/supreme court 6 years ago. Amazing that Roe v. Wade wasn't overturned.... not really. I know a lot of people who I thought were educated, smart people and they still vote on abortion alone.
