This would be an even longer list than the other one. I'll start with a couple of big ones:

Bob Dylan
Velvet Underground/Lou Reed
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

The Walkmen
Interpol
The Fiery Furnaces
Girl Talk
Matt and Kim
Later Animal Collective
Bjork's Volta
Besnard Lakes
That Joy Division box (look, I like the band and I understand their place, but I don't want to hear 30 shitty live tapes of "She's Lost Control", okay?)

I could keep going.

Come on, Colin, you're kidding, right?  I mean, just look at this:

I wouldn't say I didn't like it (I do), but I've always been a little skeptical about the rock-nerd fetish for Pavement and their offshoots, and Neutral Milk Hotel.  There are probably other bands like this too that I'm forgetting.  It's practically an article of faith that anyone with good taste must love these bands, but their stuff all sounds kind of the same to me.  I do, however, love GBV, though it took me a while to distinguish between their stuff and the other 90s-indie/jangly-guitar/lo-fi/arcane lyrics bands.

I like Arcade Fire OK but I think they're ridiculously overrated.  Not that crazy about Vampire Weekend, CYHSY, The Decemberists, or Death Cab (sorry, Gib Benson!).

I (legally) downloaded The Clean's 2-disc set on the recommendations of Ira Kaplan and Brian Turner, but can't get that into it.  But again, I wouldn't say I don't like it.

I also like the cover versions of his songs, and I want him to succeed, but I can't really listen to most Daniel Johnston recordings.  And I only kind of like The Beach Boys and most Power Pop.  I also appreciate MF Doom/Madvillain more than I actually like listening to him/them.  Not a huge fan of Joanna Newsome, but I don't think that's all that unusual.  I don't really see the appeal of the MC5 (though again, I downloaded a whole 2-disc set from eMusic).  And I prefer "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" and "You Are Free" to all of Wilco and Cat Power's other, cooler records.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Any kind of mash-up, dance music (e.g. Girl Talk).

I'm not a chicken,  you're a turkey.

I'm not into the Decemberists either. Talk about all your songs sounding the same. The vocals get pretty tiresome after awhile.

I think that YHFT is considered their coolest record. Jim O'Rourke produced it for goodness sake. The hipsters are pissed that they've reverted to their "old sound" now (which is, I must agree, boring.)

Agreed.

I'm also a big fan of a bunch of pop-punk bands (I'm currently depressed about the Ergs! breaking up), but I've never really been into some of the others usually placed in the same category (The Steinways, the Unlovables, etc.).

What he said.  (I saw Arcade Fire live by the way, and in addition to dressing like the "weird" kids from your high school, they were boring as hell.)

Also, Radiohead (our generation's Pink Floyd).
