What's the deal with Sons of Anarchy, anyway? I know they're bikers, but there has to be more to it than that, right? Do they ride around on their motorcycles solving crimes and stuff? I could probably get behind that.

C'mon Wes, we all know anarchists don't solve crime, they're too busy taking down the man.

Unless because they are sons of anarchy they are rebelling against anarchy by solving crime. I'd buy that.

The real question is, how many handlebar mustaches are we talking about here?

To complete my ASIP trifecta on this thread, I have to add that Sweet Dee getting equally as much abuse as the other 3 guys is reassuring to me, because it means that they as writers aren't sexist egotists. Its nice to see a show willing to give a really talented comedic actress a chance to show off her chops, without bothering to account for some outdated idea of female delicacy. That scene with her on the bus in this last episode was very close to perfection, and wouldn't have been achievable by a guy!

I agree that she's an extremely talented comic actress - probably the best one on the show. I feel like she often gets far, far more abuse than the others, and that there's a sorta creepy sexualized aspect to it.

Maybe it's all in my head - in which case I'm the creepy one.

You didn't enjoy Indy getting raped on a Howard the Duck pinball machine?

Agreed. Last season was really disappointing and anytime they do the two/three part episodes (Imagination, Cartman/Family Guy), it is just unbearable. I liked the two Sarah Silverman episodes though.

This show has been a revelation to me.  I had no idea biker gangs run their meetings more or less according to Robert's Rules of Order.  And the boys are so well spoken!  Were it not for their ink, their leathers, and their crimes, one might mistake them for Masons or the like.

It's not just for Baltimore street gangs anymore!

The thing is, there's not much free-wheeling individual liberty in Charming.  Maybe the name "The Sons of Anarchy" means the current members are rebelling against the anarchic principles of their forefathers.  A more accurate name might be Lodge #317.  With crime.

Some sort of post-anarchy bikers? Color me intrigued. (Still haven't watched it. Might never do now.)

Just finished the first episode. Mark Boone Junior in an Elvis suit makes me stick around at least for one more.

Matt Walsh was on Worst Week last week too. In fact every week has had some weird comedy cameo from someone, but nobody here or on the comedy zone board seems to be talking about it at all. Which isn't that strange because the show itself sucks and makes no sense at all, but still, Aziz was on the first episode!

(for like 2 seconds)

edit - oops, WORST Week, not BEST.

I thought Imaginationland was funny, but yeah, last season was generally weak. After hearing about it, I don't have high hopes for this season, either.

Does anybody get the whole Mid-Season 2 of Twin Peaks feeling from Heroes right now? The show is just getting ridiculous with random plots and characters, while nothing really happens. And the whole present and future bullshit is not making the show any better.
