II never saw the original Kath and Kim and I mostly only like it because I have a crush on the daughter (or rather, the actress that plays the daughter)

Agreed. Last season was really disappointing and anytime they do the two/three part episodes (Imagination, Cartman/Family Guy), it is just unbearable. I liked the two Sarah Silverman episodes though.

Glad Matt & Trey had to resort to another two-parter this week. Pretty soon I think I'm just going to leave South Park behind.

Is that from Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations?"  That's my new favorite show.  It shows how much fun it would be to tour the world with Lou Reed if Lou Reed were much taller and much, much nicer.

I just found out the other day that Christina Hendricks (Mad Men's Joan Holloway -- the hot redhead) has a boyfriend, the hideous Geoffrey Arend. You may remember him from the beginning of Super Troopers as one of the stoners who get arrested or in Garden State as the creepy hardware store employee who tries to get Zach Braff into his pyramid scheme. It looks like he played "Mohammed" in An American Carol.



What a lucky bastard.

Has anyone watched Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food? I love it! I know that lots of people (especially in the U.K.) seem to hate him, but he's one of my heroes. I found it genuinely moving. There was a little bit of manufactured drama in the way it was produced, but generally speaking, I think Oliver is using tv to advance his project rather than exploiting his subjects in order to make entertaining tv. Worth a look for people who are interested in the politics of food.
