Am I the only one that likes J. Charles Reatard's Matador Singles '08 more than Singles 06-07?

I'm not a chicken,  you're a turkey.

The 08 singles started out amazingly strong and then lost energy.  They're pretty great, still, I think.

Too early to make a proper top 10, but I've been listening a lot to:

Lindstrøm - Where You Go I Go Too
Q-Tip - The Renaissance
Sonar Kollektiv Orchester - Guaranteed Niceness
DiskJokke - Staying In
Duminie DePorres & Theo Parrish - Et tu Brute
Flying Lotus - Los Angeles

Albums with a couple of great cuts but failed to impress overall: Hercules and Love Affair, Morgan Geist, Matthew Herbert Big Band, Jazzanova, Benga, Erykah Badu, Portishead, James Pants, Koushik, Madlib, Raphael Saadiq, Rhymefest

I think they actually hit their stride in the middle of the run - singles #3 and 5 are my favorites.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I've have never heard a worse analysis of this year in music than the one provided by All Songs Considered.
