Does anybody actually like the McGruber sketches? I didn't even like it the first time let alone the 80th.

I dunno about like. But Will Forte can get a laugh out of me from almost anything, even if the Macgruber stuff is tired I still don't look away.

I did laugh at the way Kenan pronounce issues though, and also Steve Martin's getup in that sketch too.

It seems like every other sketch features Will Forte talking under his breath and Kristen Wiig doing some sort of quirky character.

careful.  don't say anything bad about Kristen Wiig. history has taught us that everyone on this board loves her subtle humor.

Howz ‘bout a Comedic Stimulus Package?
The government gives Mr. Martin 870 billion dollars to retire.

Wow!  Saturday Night Lame.

The edible diapers sketch would have had some
shock-effect IF someone had shelled-out for a can of Pillsbury’s fudge icing and then had the family gnaw away.

Yeah, I was confused if those were real ads or not too. Something tells me they won't air much except during SNL though.

I so wish you had been right.

This week was a good one for setting the bar back to reasonable limits. People must remember that the show is usually a bit of a stinker with good spots, rather than Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin. Also, the loss of Amy Poehler is showing.

Good to see Joe Biden get back in a skit. I'm a big fan of Fred Armisen, but that Bernie Madoff skit was rough. I was waiting for the kicker or the weird twist, but nope.

I think we all agree that Steve Martin needs to just write witty one-pagers for the New Yorker now.

Just think of the Steve Martin shows as necessary steps to another Alec Baldwin appearance — he's two back now, so he can host without tying the record.

Alec Baldwin up next and royalties required for Tom with the Sajak's brother sketch.

It was not good at all.  I liked the "badguy" sketch, and only a bit.

It's very, very frustrating, as the constituent parts have never been stronger, yet the outcome has rarely been dimmer (the 80's were rough, admittedly).

What.  The.  Heck.

Tim and Eric claim that SNL is pulling a lot from their show lately (and obviously there's a lot of cross-over, with Hader, Armisen, etc...), but I just don't see it.

BUT, you know what? I've watched it every Saturday (or taped it) since about 1983, and I ain't gonna stop.  I made it through Denis Miller's Weekend Update, I can make it through anything.
