If you have any respect for the value of money you will steal this movie and call it reparations for it ever having been made at all. William Hurt and Kevin Costner now owe everyone in America at least $3 dollars, if not more.

Also a 6-pack of Dr. Pepper.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I was surprised to see that Mr. Brooks has a 7.6/10 on IMDB. Usually movies have inflated ratings when they first come out but they die down when people catch them later on DVD or TV.

I too was going to post about it being a $2.99 or $3.99 DVD at Best Buy/Circuit City this weekend, but I don't know if it's worth fighting with the Black Friday weekend crowds.

I'd settle for a personally autographed copy of Sizzle Beach on VHS.

Watched this film last night in preparation. Stinks. Can't wait for Tom's interpretation though.

Can't believe the director of this once wrote 'Stand By Me'. What happened between that film and 'Kuffs' would make for interesting reading. I kept thinking Slater should've played William Hurt's character and just done that eyebrow thing 17 times during the film.

Doesn't the Netflix computor automatically contact the authorities when you put that thing on your queue more than once.

No, not tomorrow! There's actually stuff going on in Miami. Every day and every night. This doesn't happen ever.
Too soon?

I don't know if this ruins the spirit of the Mr. Brooks event (I'm watching the Roadhouse/Scharpling mashup movie now), but has Tom considered having anyone else play a part in the fun? I wouldn't want all the parts given to other people, but maybe the William Hurt part could be played by Philly Boy Roy or something. I think that would be great.

I could really see Spike playing the role of William Hurt...

That honestly would be perfect.

My $5 Mr. Brooks DVD arrived from Amazon today.  The cover is a HOLOGRAM!!!  There was nothing on the page to indicate that this would be the case so it was a pleasant surprise.  Kinda amping up the cheese factor.

They are no longer only $5 at Amazon.  Maybe Amazon sensed that demand would be high and upped the price.
