The Far East Suite is supoib. Money Jungle is even better.

I'm one of those dudes who likes a ton of jazz yet still can't even really find a quick and easy way to get into his head exactly what "modal" means. I am also one of those dudes who thinks it is perfectly acceptable to have shreddin' gee-tar in your jazz (see: Billy Cobham's "Stratus"; John McLaughlin's "Dragon Song"; Tony Williams Lifetime's "Red Alert"). Plus, you know who is wonderful? Rahsaan Roland Kirk, that is who is wonderful.
