So, when you use the Amazon iPhone application (which is great for having your wish list on hand, I use the Amazon wish list to keep track of books to get) to take a photo of and identify a product, it just sends a picture to their Mechanical Turk service and real life humans identify the product and link to it on Amazon.  Link above to preview some of what people have been looking for.

I'm waiting for it to be flooded with pictures of balls.  So far I've sent it a picture of my dog, a muskrat skull, and a 1920s era Catholic prayer devotional book.

I might join Mechanical Turk and just link things to Hippy Justice.
