steve in north hollywood deserves rookie of the year hands down. not because he's a nice guy and a good sport, because he IS both both of those things, but because he offered to sing tom a song to cheer him up when tom was having a meltdown of sorts (i don't know how else to describe it.)

Didn't Steve From North Hollywood already have, then lose, a Rookie of the Year title?  Or was he at least a nominee in 2007?

May I bestow a special "Show of the Year" honour to Philly Boy Paul. That was seriously the top part of the top drawer of the top shelf on the highest shelf at the top of a mountain.

I love Hodgman, but guest of the year has to be Paul F. Tompkins. For the Philly Boy Paul episode alone, he should get a Best Show Lifetime Achievement award. And if the Mr. Brooks episode happens by the end of the year, that could beat out Philly Boy Paul for best show of the year.

don't forget saddest caller, which as we all may or may not remember is not the same as most delusional.

I gotta go with the mayubinatorial debate, followed very closely by John Hodgeman.

All great, but don't forget about "The World is in the Turlet" episode.

We all know the best GOMP was on the April Fool's episode.

And Julie vs Steve for RoTY is gonna be a nailbiter - although I've already given one of them the award in my heart.

Ewww, right?

Thanks Andrew!  To clear up any confusion, I was not nominated in 2007.  I was nominated very early in 2008 after a good first call, followed by a good second call a few weeks later, followed by the call when I was accompanied by Nate and we got GOMP'd ... Big Time.  Then I called in and proceeded to flame out for about three months.  Finally, I was able to rise up out of the muck by placing a good call while PFT was in studio.  However, shortly after that, I managed to get Olivia Munn thrown into the Hate Pit, where she now reigns as Queen*, if I'm not mistaken.

I'd love to win, but the decision is out of my hands.

*Should "queen" be capitalized in this case?

Is there a "Best Topic" award?
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I'll support this nomination - I like that Steve tasted both victory and defeat in one year and is now make on top. Maybe it should be Rookie Rocky Rambocky of the Year?

I definitely agree with this one. That show was excellent.
