For best show of the year, I would like to nominate "The Order Of Everything"

YES.

That show was, in a word, BREATHTAKING.

Best Pure Moment in a story by Tom: "They don't like you.  I don't like you either" in the story about taking his dad to the Yankees game.  That whole story was tops.  That and the casino fight story.

Long time listener, no time caller, but this has been a pretty great year for the Best Show.

I'm gonna pledge!

Could there be an award for best quote by a caller?  I was very fond of when onetime caller (i believe) Tugboat Richie said 'you gotta be a little nuts to work on a tugboat' or at least something close to that.
Sounds like someone was working as a conduit for nature's natural vengeance.  Just like Jesus.  And some of the others.

I really enjoyed the Top 5 Jerks show...don't know if that's been mentioned...but I loved that guy who calledl in about Danny Aiello and the portraits he has up at diners about the good fries.  That was pretty funny.

I think that the Abba Box deserves an award but maybe it's year was really 2007 and not 2008.  Also, I can't imagine what award to give it but it really seemed to fill a supporting actor type of role.

The "If You Love Something Set It Free" award.

I'd like to see an award for Loser With the Biggest Ego.

Me too!!!  I'm a shoe-in for that one!

How about a best non-regular caller award (it would need to be more elegantly named, I should think)? Sonny from Jersey City gets my vote. So much potential, and then he's gone like Keyser Soze.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

This award should definitely go the the Coffin Talk guy.  That guy stuck around for exactly the right amount of time.

Oh, I thought you wrote that specifically for me.

In all seriousness, Julie, I love your calls.  May the best Rooky win!

You have my endorsement, Steve! I'd like to win something a little creepier than that title.

Julie must get Rookie of the Year. Steve is a good caller, but Julie is a force that can change the show from a W to an L or vice-versa.
I would also like if Spike got an award for improvement. The Biggest Loser or something like that.
And PFT must get Best Guest.
