I refuse to watch The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I know it's not my thing, so I won't bother. The same can be said for Harry Potter. Ditto on The Sopranos, Godfather, and Lawrence of Arabia.

This is not a reflection on your need to see the movie, but I once sat and watched the LOTR: two towers three times in a row because I was trapped in an airport for 14 hours & TBS played the same movie three times instead of playing all three movies. It put me into a deepest jet-lag / hallucination / trance / nightmare.

Entourage.

I don't have HBO, but people seem to like this show.

I love Lost. Me and afk never miss it. And I refuse to be cowed by your insistence that my taste doesn't match yours. Screw yourself.
Ditto. Lost is consistently suspenseful, and after they established an end date, they've been moving forward at full speed. Even the two-hour finales go by in a flash.

My biggest is probably Deadwood.  Love westerns, know a lot of people who love it, never saw a single episode.  I picked up the complete series last week but I have no idea when I'll get around to watching it.
That would probably be mine, too. Though there are probably any number of bands that fit the bill.

I've never done heroin.  I hear it's pretty rad.

The Pogues

+ The Hold Steady. I keep hearing that they're great, but I haven't bothered to listen. The phrase "pub rock" isn't helping.

oh jeeze I've gotten into some serious arguments about the pogues. Their fans are so extreme, too, that I've gotten yelled at from just casually saying something like 'I just don't understand the appeal'.

You people waste too much time on hate. I'm a hell of a lot more interested in what you like and why, rather than how what you don't like makes you hip.

Not trying to start a war or anything, but - this seems bizarre to me. The Best Show is almost entirely centered around bringin' the Hate and ridicule. And that's great - it's funny and entertaining, as are many of the observations on the forums.  I'm puzzled why you'd frequent a radio show like TBS and and then complain about the perceived negativity of its listeners. That's like being a dittohead Limbaugh fan while accusing other dittoheads of being a bunch of right-wing blowhards.

Both Van Gogh and elephants at the zoo drug paint around on canvases.
