Podcast Suggestions?

Since the Stochastic Hit Parade isn't listed in the iTunes store, I tried to subscribe to the podcast manually -

Only iTunes says that link is invalid. Is there any easier way to subscribe (Advanced -> Subscribe to Podcast)?

I am guessing that didn't work 'cause that's just a regular RSS feed and not a podcast feed. That show is not podcast: http://wfmu.org/podcast

The history shows might be the best produced podcast out there. I can listen to them again and again. Common Sense is political, but I like his opinions about getting rid of the 2-party system and the failure of the government.

Do any of you guys listen to WNYC's Radiolab? People recommended it to me, but can you tell me what the deal is with the host? The only one I've listened to so far is one called "In Defense of Darwin" where the host gets the shit kicked out of him by Richard Dawkins and then edits in smarmy, sarcastic asides to his radio audience. Is this typical? Because if so, this is the worst radio show in the history of broadcast.

I'm with you, todd.  Radiolab fucking sucks.  I listened to many annoying episodes hoping to hear what people liked about it.  Stupid editing, stupid jokes, very little actual "science."

The best science program I've ever head is CBC's Quirks and Quarks, which has a podcast.

Librivox is better than most podcasts can hope to be.

I periodically subscribe and unsubscribe to NPR's Shuffle and most emailed stories podcasts, which I hope to be a "Best of NPR."  A lot of drek seeps in, though, especially NPR's profiles of various generically awful musicians.

The BBC's Global News podcast is a good 1/2 hour of information.  Its "NewsPod" is more focused on British news, test match results and that kind of thing.

I wish I liked ESPN's Baseball Today more.  They just focus on baseball from a very insidery perspective that's too much for me.

I've been down on NPR for some time now, I have to say. I think it's on the same downward trajectory that PBS has been on in terms of quality and relevance.

Inexplicably, however -- when I moved here I tried to listen more to WNYC because I thought somehow in this giant market the local NPR shows would be good. Nope, they're totally abysmal. In addition to Radiolab, I submit for your disapproval:
