What's the deal with the frequency of all these podcasts?

So many of them go for weeks at a time without posting anything. I understand why that is on a practical basis (real life, people, responsibilities)...

but say... superego for example... is there any sort of schedule?

The first day of each month?

I saw an odd date for a sampler edition and it threw me off. I guess I should wait until I'm awake to make posts like these :\  Thanks.

I am now 150 podcasts behind. Time to flush, or fight through it?

Every time I start to feel the same way, I find myself facing a long car trip or something.  God has a plan for you and your podcasts, Dave.

But so many of mine are 3 or 4 hours long

Why do I feel uncomfortable?

Didn't really care for it. Anyone heard "The Biggest Mikstake" podcast?

I like UYD, and I've slowly been working my way through the old episodes, but I have to take a break from it from time to time.

I just got back into David Feldman"s podcast. He's doing this old school live radio play thing with a full cast. I've listened to 2 or 3 and like it, it's different than a lot of the stuff out there.

It's kind of uneven but definitely worth sticking with. The "Patton Oswalt's Sitcom from 1993" episode was memorable.

Here's another podcast that's very different from the rest - http://www.amateurscientist.org/ . It's mostly the author commenting on all sorts of normal and strange topics. It's not a rant, though. The material sounds well prepared and is really absurd and funny. And consistently so! Check it out!
"You want me to recognize you and I won't. I won't acknowledge you! I deny you. So you keep begging and begging. The door is slammed on you. I want nothing to do with you. You will die unrecognized by me."

If you're keeping up on the whole Night People/Night Perverts thing, you might be interested to know that Tom called Night People last week (8/5/10). There was some great talk about journalism and writing and, most importantly, how they are going to resolve the "nude model" issue. I do believe the phrase "ultimate WFMU crossover show" was used.

The call starts at around 26:00 on the podcast, but I think he was on the line a couple minutes beforehand, when Dave was leading the audience in some stretches. If you'd like to hear the stretching section (which I found hilarious) you should start from around 21:00.

Oh, and Mr. Scharpling? I would like to present my best friend Rebecca and myself as nominees for the artist's panel. We're both really passionate about art. Namaste.
