A) The difference between this and Ke$ha is that Ke$ha is in on the joke.

B) This song is the best evidence I've seen in awhile that SPIKE IS RIGHT.

I'm not a big fan of the song myself, but picking on kids as if they're expected to be making the highest art is mean IMHO.

This also occurred to me, that this was only possible if someone's rich father ignored all advice and insisted on spending this amount of money to make a video for this song.

Yeah it's terrible, but I'm pleasantly surprised at the Shaggs-like innocence of the lyrics. I thought kids were raunchier nowadays. I especially like when she goes through the days of the week.
