I know this is cliche by now and old wet newspaper but, the Shoppin For a Coffin show. Hands down.

I've turned on at least 3 friends to TBS that had no idea that talk radio was anything but Rush Limbaugh and hardwarestore ads.

Love that too. Especially Tom's "disguised voice" voice.

The XFL episode. Has to be a hall of famer, so funny.

I just FINALLY listened to the Danielson Family Bachelor Party (Oct. 10, 2006) episode and it's terrific.  The Pudge call (was this the first Pudge call?) had me cackling. Plus you get a handful of wurster calls.
Also, during the smash or trash segment with Dearest Lovely or whatever it was, was that you, Laurie from Miami, who called and said it was a smash and was the first person to mention sleater kinney?

Come on, Jason

7/31/2001 - Tom gets royally screwed over by Perry Farrell.

The last twenty minutes are brilliant - Tom in full-on furious mode, and great calls from Wurster, Earles, and Terre T.

To top it all off, the best Wursterism ever:  Rich Hall Will Hit Y'All.

Listener Appreciation 2001

It's like the turning point between Tom being a little self-conscious and semi-ingratiating and then Tom being Tom as we know him and love him...

Three calls in a row:

guy complaining about a Wurster call being a hoax and eating on the phone - "Don't eat on the phone you pig!"

lady asks if Tom would ever do his show naked, but has radio on really loud, sounds like a tunnel - "AAAAAAAARGH I CAN'T TALK TO YOU EITHER!!! BRRNNNNNNNNGHGHGHG!"

guy asks if an earlier caller actually owns a tractor - "I don't know..."

straight into a song, with no comment.

Beautiful.

Just listened to the last episode of 2004.  Tom is auditioning a new Captain Jack actor because he "fired" the old actor who used to play him.

Listening to 2006.3.14 post-marathon show where Tom's reading this Salon.com article about the Abercrombie & Fitch CEO. It's a great rant. This should be considered for the Gems podcast.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I sure hope so.... I don't see an archive of that.
