Because mine just broke.  With a quart of orange sherbet just starting to freeze.  Now, I'm not crazy--I know you can't get that handle to me in time for this batch.  But if you just happen to have an old handle hanging around, how'd you like to let me have it?  I'll pay for the postage, of course.

Looks like you can get whole ice cream makers for cheap on eBay.

Maybe I can rig something.  If not, today I just stirred the sherbet with a spatula every few minutes, and it turned out fine, so I'll be able to make do no matter what.  I'm certainly not going to buy a whole new contraption just because one bit of plastic broke.  For shame, yesno.

The whole new contraption probably costs as much as a handle by itself.  Welcome to industrial capitalism, hon.

Fuck industrial capitalism.  I'll carve a replacement handle out of wood if I have to.  (And actually I can get a new handle for $10, including postage, while a new ice cream maker would likely cost considerably more.)

Yes, but it's considerably more expensive than the one for $10, including shipping, that I already found.  Thank you, though.

I know how to get one online.  I was just hoping that someone had an ice cream freezer he or she never used or whose liner had been punctured or something.  Looking for a bargain, in other words.

Why did I immediately think you were looking to trade an ice cream maker for 1.75 liters of liquor...

I just love your image of me, TE.  Like all good fantasies, it's such an improvement on reality.

I have no idea and am deeply, deeply offended.

Donvier sounds like a delicious liqueur.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!
