Isn't Spike supposedly some famous record producer? I think it said so on Fotpedia.

Bob Ezrin, perhaps?

The site apparently doesn't exist anymore (?) but I think it said it was someone who, like Spike says he does, lives in Queens.

I think we all know that he's really a character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

As I understand it, Spike uses a modulator.

In my opinion, Spike is a genius. He's the Andy Kaufman of talk show callers. It's all an act and I'm convinced that off the air Spike is a perfectly normal fellow.

Does anyone agree with me?

No!!!

Nope. I think he probably thinks he's putting on an act.

I would love it if Spike started talking about "the Spike character" in those terms on the air. This might be the approach he should take to answer Tom's challenge and freshen up his calls. The Actor Who Plays Spike could field questions about his process and how he develops and inhabits "the Spike character" when he calls into the show.

Maybe Tom could go the James Lipton route and hit The Actor Who Plays Spike with Lipton's beloved Bernard Pivot questions. Is there anyone not curious about his potential answer to "If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?"

I disagree even with this.  *Maybe* the Debbie the Dominatrix stuff was an act.  But all this is the real deal.

Whether it's an act or not, Spike knows how to get attention. Look at how many threads on this forum have been started about him.

Is President O'Dreamy one of your clients? I would certainly hope not.

And if you don't come up with something new for Tom, you're apparently going to be getting about the same amount of air-time as McDreamy.

Come on, Spike, I'm on your side! Work at it a little bit. YOU CAN DO IT.
