According to the NY Times (or maybe the MPAA - I dunno who comes up with these warnings), 'Big Fan' contains "salty language and self-love."

Now I'm gonna see it for sure.

can i admit two emotions im feeling very strongly when i watch the trailer (as i do since i will not be seeing the film for a while):

1) what the hell, phoenix/memphis?!

2) i cringe and the anxiety is overwhelming when i see patton get his face punched in.  it makes me very uncomfortable.

I saw a poster for some movie in the subway this week, and it warned of "incidental smoking". That "incidental" is so irritating.

I caught this last night at the Angelika in NY last night (Alec Baldwin's favorite movie theater). I only heard / felt 2 subway trains go by while watching.

I don't think this needs to be said, but everyone should see this as soon as possible.  Patton was excellent.

One caller in the movie sounded a little bit like Larry the Perv to me, pretty strange.

Doesn't the phrase "cult classic" usually imply that a movie sucks and there is an ironic joy to watching The Suck? If so, this is not a cult classic. It is a CLASSIC.

I think a cult classic simply means a movie that did not have a large audience or much critical success but has a small, dedicated, niche fan base.  Whether the movie is good or not doesn't come into it.
