So, Dan Melchior was originally going to play this little festival, but the dates got moved around, and it fell through. Sadness. Then XYX was going to play, and I was excited about that, but that fell through as well. Now Friend of Tom So Cow is scheduled to play!! UPGRADE!
Yaaaaay.
Even without the added bonus of So Cow, the festival has a pretty stellar lineup of awesome local bands and a couple not so local bands. Like Mike said in the notes for the latest Yeti, Miami now has a handful of really fucking great garage bands, including Jacuzzi Boys, Electric Bunnies, TeePee, and Melted Sunglasses. EFD had a Jacuzzi Boys single in his top ten singles last year, and the man says their last one on Rob's House is in the running for #1 single of 2009. (Don't tell him I got a copy of it in Dec 2008 after Diego and I bailed out on the Matt & Kim set. Nodzzz should have headlined that night. Anyway, drinking finger-mixed cocktails with the Boys out of a car parked on a shady side street in Downtown Miami was more fun.)
