If Zach wants to get paid, good for him. I don't think he's dumb enough to get pigeonholed, but I also think he doesn't really give a shit what other people think of him. Regardless, in five years he'll be out on his farm and popping back up only when he wants to.  Go Zach.

Artistic integrity is all well and good, but the man has to put food on his table right? No one should begrudge him for, as senorcorazon put it, wanting to get paid. An actor can do both quirky projects and Hollywood blockbusters.

If he gets a pile of money from the quirky projects, does he still have to do the Hollywood blockbusters?

Why not do the blockbusters? The Hangover was hilarious and widened his audience - can't be a bad thing, right?

anyone who's turned down an opportunity to observe the spectacle of making a hundred million dollar movie from the inside, while getting paid six figures minimum and being treated like a king can go ahead and look down their nose at somebody for doing a blockbuster movie. It's a life experience like anything else.  Someone's gonna get paid to do it. Might as well be someone cool.

All one has to do is read Mr. Scheer's tale from the set of Piranha 3-D for a great example of why it's not a bad thing.

Stopped reading here:

Quote
It happens regularly: A comedy performer has an unexpected hit and his flavor-of-the-month-ness attracts the “suits” (as Billy Walsh called them on “Entourage”)

I saw the Hangover with my mom, and she loved it. She laughed throughout the whole thing.

I just felt like sharing that.
Too soon?

Alan Finger "Up In Them Guts"

Quite possibly one of my favorite things I have ever seen Zach do.  Dog Bites Man in general.

I should've followed Todd's advice. Anyone quoting the wisdom of Billy Walsh with a straight face deserves a punch in the mouth.

I'll probably go into the wee hours.
