R.I.P Patrick Swayze
« on: September 14, 2009, 08:46:57 PM »
Patrick Swayze succumbed to cancer today. He will always have my respect, not only for being a good actor, but also for fighting valiantly against a terrible disease.

RIP.  :'(

Poor bastard. Beating the big C isn't as tough as it used to be, but Pancreatic is like one of the hardest, I've heard. It's like undetectable until it's practically too far gone to do anything about it.
Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

Yeah, pancreatic is almost always fatal. My uncle had it and died within a couple of months. He had no idea, felt sick and the doctor ran tests. A day or two later they said he was in stage 4 of the disease (which is the furthest along it will get to) and it had already spread. Pancreatic cancer is the worst (not that all cancer isn't awful and horrible) just because it comes out of nowhere and there is almost no chance for recovery. So, god bless Patrick Swayze for fighting it as long as he did (and hell, acting in a television series!).
He's this soulless bastard from Siberia. I once saw him shove Fred Savage's face in a toilet.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I had the time of my life Patrick! Dancing around my living room with my sisters, acting out the whole movie, learning the moves.

And then the endless entertainment that Roadhouse has brought me

You will be missed!!

Has the NY Post not done this headline yet? "Pain hurts - Swayze Dead at 57"

I would suspect The Post would do something less tasteful using a "Ghost" pun. Or Something like "Breaking Point - Swayze Succumbs to Cancer."

Ugh, Post puns make me feel so sleazy. This was in no means meant as a way of making fun of the death of Patrick Swayze.
