So weird because I just came on the site to shamefacedly plug something, and this was the first topic on the list! Kismet?

Anyway, I have a blog www.baltimorediy.blogspot.com in which I write about many urban homesteading topics. If you're curious about foraging, gardening in five gallon buckets, knitting, canning, making zines, or composting with worms, feel free to check it out.

Our slowly dying local newspaper, The Baltimore Sun, is hosting their annual blog competition. It's called "The Mobbies" after one of Baltimore's nicknames, Mobtown. I would humbly like to ask for FOT support & a vote in the ART + DIY category.

The Comics Curmudgeon, famously mentioned by John Hodgman himself on last night's show, is also in the running in the HUMOR category. So you can kind of do an FOT two-fer on this one!

If you click on the blog hyperlink above, I have a badge on the site that will link you to the Baltimore Sun contest.

Thanks fellow FOTs. I mean it.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Why did you start with the "#".   I don't like this.

Aww, sorry folks. (and fonpr specifically for the Twitter invasion, hence the # hashtag...) Inappropriate forum activity. I hang my head in shame.

Please move this thread to the appropriate place, or banish it to the Hate Pit, if need be.

Don't listen to fonpr.  I'm of the opinion that there's no such thing as an appropriate place for an online forum posting.  I like new topics even if they already have a "home".  I'm gonna check out your blog right now it sounds rad!
