I dunno, I think past a basic level of competence good acting is just good casting. She's good enough in Mad Men. On SNL she was a real drag.

Bill Hader I'd like to see in real serious drama. That guy's got it.

After seeing January Jones on Jimmy Fallon and SNL in one week, I don't know that I'll ever be able to enjoy Mad Men again.

The Today sketch at the top of the show was painfully awkward the way they were trying to cram January Jones into it.  She played the animal handler and had about four lines in the whole thing.  What a dud she is...

Yeah, on SNL she came off like an untalented dullard but on Fallon she came off more like a giggling ditz. Either way, I don't know how they get decent acting out of her on Mad Men.

i don't think they do. she's not particularly good on the show - i think a lot of the "coldness" people talk about in her character is just bad, wooden acting.

gotta say - tonight's JGL episode is a million percent better than last week. i rarely lol, but it's happened a couple of times thus far.

I liked his monologue and he's definitely the best host they've had in a long time. My favorite sketch was easily Fred Armisen as the fat fill-in host for the woman's advice show.

It was not the greatest episode by any means but at least the guy put forth a real effort.

I think he's quite the handsome man and it's great that he always looks incredibly happy on these shows. Take that, Robert Pattinson!

I actually really dug the Jack Johnson show skit if only for the lost animals bit and Samberg saying random things such as "hemp necklace!". Also, I think What Up With That is a repetitive proof skit if they keep them as crazy as the first two have been. Jake the Snake Roberts was an awesome touch and again, Sudeikis dancing always gets the lolz.

I couldn't stop laughing at Sudeikis, Anytime the shot was wide enough that he was in it I was laughing out loud. The best was the look on Mindy Kaling's face when they were out of time.

The Jack Johnson thing was funny JGL caught Mraz's douchiness pretty well... cargo shorts.

I was just watching old clips of "The Falconer" on Hulu and it got me wondering why this character hasn't been on the show in like two years. Why does Kristin Wiig get like three of her awful characters on each week and it feels like three weeks go by before Will Forte has something on.
