halloween costume ideas
« on: October 20, 2009, 03:25:37 AM »
Anyone thought of a good one this year? I'm definitely getting lazier with each Halloween. I have to stop by a friend's party but don't want to be a costume-less killjoy  :-\

i kind of like things that will get a laugh but don't really have a theme per se -- like, say, a unitard along with an amish beard.

as for lazy, one year i just had a t-shirt made that said, 'a pirate'.

I have a phobia about costumes. Seriously. The yearly Halloween party is my least favorite night of the year; my best friends host it, and it is by all accounts a great party, but I spend most of it by myself in an old Adirondack chair in the back yard, no matter how cold. One year when It rained, I just went home. I keep going back because my wife loces it.

Don't what triggers this in me, but it's one of the worst things I can imagine, having to make small talk with someone dressed as, I don't know, Beetlejuice?

The new Party City insert has a bunch of costumes.  Every single costume for an adult woman could be accurately described as "Slutty _______."  There are, in fact, three different Slutty Pirate costumes.

Most of the men's costumes are not slutty, with the exception of the Bruno ripoff costume.  I didn't know men had that much thigh.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

There's even a slutty Robin costume, it's amazing.

I'm going as a Baseball Fury this year. Hopefully people won't think I'm a jaundiced Yankee or something.
Too soon?

I went as a Mummenschanz a few years back, with toilet paper rolls for eyes. It was a big hit. As far as I know.

I Googled Mummenschanz and the results left me more confused.

My fiancée and I are going as furries. Nothing's scarier than a furry. NOTHING.

At a previous job there was a very weird lady who came in to work on Halloween in a full on furry outfit. It was disturbing to look at her all day.
