Rev. Billy on WFMU's Seven Second Delay...
« on: November 05, 2009, 05:11:39 AM »
Every month WFMU's  http://wfmu.org/
7 Second Delay http://sevenseconddelay.blogspot.com/
does a live broadcast from The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC.
Joining Ken and Andy last night among other guests was the Rev. Billy Talen fresh from his not victorious race for mayor.

Andy conducted the humorous interview with Talen.
It turns out Rev. Billy got 9,000 votes which placed him 4th in a race of about 10 contenders.
As Ken Freedman pointed out the good Reverend Billy beat out a number of parties including the My Rent Is Too High Party.
When Andy asked the audience if anyone in the audience had voted for Rev. Billy I think I was the only one to clap my hands.

I was then asked to come to the stage at which point Rev Billy took my hand and knelled down in front of me thanking me for making him what he was.
He did add that I come from Coney Island royalty.
Rev Billy has been a big proponent of saving Coney Island. I have seen him speak at numerous rallies but never introduced myself until last night.
To listen to the full show go here, it's pretty good especially when Billy starts his preaching and nearly freaks out Andy.

Here are some of the pictures I shot from the show:

Glad to see everybody dressed up to be on stage? Where was this thing held, at a barn raising?

Tom.

Andy looks like every uncle in the universe combined into one superuncle. The Everyuncle, if you will.
