Mike!
« on: February 24, 2007, 04:32:38 PM »
I just wanted to say how much I loved Mike's huge laugh when Tom hung up on the guy who said "I've been holding" in a miffed tone as soon as he was on the air.  (I'm listening to the archive today, since, as usual, I missed much quippage because I chatter too damn much.)

Jesus, what a dumb post this is.  I wonder what I'm trying to avoid doing today?

This was indeed a classic Mike moment.

Trivia: the guy in question was the same guy who had that long back-and-forth with Tom last year about his "yoga cooking class".

So the yoga chef has become a "hypantist"?  I can understand, I suppose:  someone with such a substantial chip on his shoulder probably cannot last long in any profession, especially one of the touchy-feely/New Agey/spiritual (or "floopy," as we in my family say; no relation to the same word as used by Douglas Adams) sort that he seems to favor.

He reminds me of more prickly, less-sad-sacky boring Owen.

The hypnotism was brilliant.
