"great wall of china" is one of the best songs of all time. Anyway, Ted rules.
Awesome guitar work on that song, but man, those lyrics (uncharacteristically, for a Ted Leo song) stink.

Just saw this on the A.V. Club-- pretty neat!

Ah! You beat me to it!! I saw the show last night--always amazing as usual! Met Ted after the show and he signed my boyfriend's vinyl copy of the BB album with "DO IT!" (after we told him we were FOTs). I really wanted to get a picture with him, but we could tell he was totally pooped and didn't want to push our luck any further.  :D

That was fantastic! Really cool.

Also, if you scroll down the page, you'll see that Starship's "We Built this City" is an option for some band to cover, we can only hope Bryce will have something to do with it (seriously though, The Mountain Goats covering that would seem so out of the ordinary for them, but that might make it all the better, or all the weirder). Superchunk is also being covered.

Just saw TL/RX last night in Portland with my wife. He killed it. Great show. Afterward my wife (who was not too familiar with his stuff) said "That was a really great show. I'll see him over Ben Folds any day" I don't know why Ben Folds would ever pop into anyone's head after just seeing TL but Ted has succeeded in making my life a little bit less... Ben Folds. Thanks Ted.
You look like a really healthy Arthy Lang.

Were you the young man sporting the "Newbridge is for Lovers" shirt?

This was indeed a fantastic show.  So much Tyranny!

I was that guy... with the dumb hat. I assume you were the "nice shirt" guy?

Nope!  Not that I know of, at least.  Though it could have been my friend, fellow show-goer, and FOT Mike (who is absurdly tall and likes wearing coats in doors).

I'm very reticent to talk to strangers at the Doug Fir.  It never ends well for me.

It was a tall fellow with a coat. I think he bought a shirt.

http://soundcloud.com/tedleo, to help cleanse your mind of Fat Mike's descent into madness.
There's a really great (the best, I think) version of "One Polaroid a Day" on the 89.3 KCMP "The Current" appearance.

The video for "The Mighty Sparrow" is here: http://pitchfork.com/tv/#/musicvideo/4135-ted-leo-and-the-pharmacists-the-mighty-sparrow-matador

I've already watched this more times than I'd like to admit. SO GOOD.
Eagerly awaiting the release of "Pleasure Island: A Rock Fontasy"

Just noticed that TL's song for Tom's birthday, 'As If I Could', is up for download on Ted's Soundcloud. Lacking the "Best Show exclusive" voiceover, sadly.

Ted played that at the show in Portland and it took all my strength NOT to shout out, "BEST SHOW EXCLUSIVE!" in the middle of it.
