Mike, what can I offer you to MC the show? How can we turn an already sordid night of humble chaos into AP-Mikestock. We have plenty of songs about alienation, dissociative disorders, objectum sexuality. And you can co-host with Frank From Weehawken. Seriously, what will it take, Mike? We'll show Hoarders on the bar TVs, have the DJ play some Dead in between bands.

Mike, Middle-aged men are our target demographic. Songs about making your kids shovel snow barefoot, making examples out of your friends, Flomax, arguing with your barber, Roth IRAs. Isn't that what growing old is all about?

And you are correct: Family Fun is a bit on the unpolished side. Dirty punk & roll with a touch of John Phillips Sousa. Songs about revenge, pills, sleepover parties of yesteryear.

Also, the only band featuring a member of my immediate family on guitar.  Not 100% sure I'll be there (middle-aged-guy-at-a-punk-show issue, busy schedule), but I hear Family Fun's got a bottle of hot sauce for me and I intend to claim it.

Speaking of the Mike Show, I used to push him around the neighborhood in a stroller, and I once beat a kid up for insulting him.  Actually he wasn't insulted, he was a baby and probably didn't even notice, but the kid made fun of him.
