Congratulations, Jason!

I'm listening to SSD right now, and I was so glad that you called!  When that guy described the kind of work he could offer, it was obvious he'd be thrilled to hear from you.  And, lo! the next thing you know, there's that new Bond voice on the other line.  Too perfect.  I hope it pans out.

(Apologies if someone already posted on this.  I was just so excited I had to say something right away and couldn't be bothered checking to see if I was redundant.)

Listening to SSD?

Really, their records have aged pretty poorly.
The only Wire I care about is the one that recorded Pink Flag.

Awesome. I thought the exact same thing, but I figured I'd thrown my quota of Boston band references already. Springa (the singa) spends a lot of time in Boston these days. He has spent many years involved in Chicago's theater scene and is currently working on a novel. He's quite a character and definitely a good, gregarious guy.

Springa's got some good time in the American Hardcore documentary http://www.sonyclassics.com/americanhardcore/, and he's featured somewhat prominently in Michael Patrick MacDonald's fine latest novel, Easter Rising http://www.amazon.com/Easter-Rising-Irish-American-Coming/dp/0618470255.

I've been trying to get him to come down to WMBR and do some guest deejay spots as part of the Late Risers Club 30th anniversary festivities (which just might include a band that Tom was trying to get to reunite...). We'll see if either happens.

I love how you wrote "lo."  And that you didn't write "behold."

I like your posts Sarah.  I like Laurie's a lot too, but you guys seem like two sides of the same cool coin.  FOT girl power!!!
