I think many of the actors on Lost are terrible, the characters are unpleasant almost to a man/woman, and the story itself tries too hard and wants you to know it.  Even so, the hour goes by in a flash, so something about it must hold my interest.

Is it the fact that Sawyer is somehow chubby and cut at the same time?

I feel like he just put on some weight during the last break. He didn't used to be like that...I don't think. Maybe he's expecting.

It has nothing to do with Sawyer, although I do find him less repellent than Jack, whom I loathe.

It feels slow, but I think that's because they don't have a million story threads to follow like in seasons past.

I wasn't crazy about this week's episode, but it was pretty awesome to see William Atherton again.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I don't think it's going to be much of a surprise at the end. I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like everybody knows what's happening right now with the alternate timeline.

I really really liked this Dr. Linus episode. Easily the best of the season and one of the best of the series BUT:
that scene with Ben and Ilana was so ridiculously fast-paced for the content. It should have been at least twice as long.

Also, Mario Van Peebles directed it what?

He's this soulless bastard from Siberia. I once saw him shove Fred Savage's face in a toilet.

So I was listening to the podcast from this week's best show, and suddenly had a scary moment.

Next time you hear John Hodgman speak, try to imagine a Ben Linus doing the speaking. I bet he could do a great character impression.
