-Best Call nominee: Chris L From Maryland as Elvis Costello introducing Herbie Hancock on Spectacle (2:26:28)

Thanks for reminding me of this one, Wes. That was an amazing call.

Is that the one that the short Chris L clip is from?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

-Best Heave-Ho nominee: Regular Joe's John Rhys-Davies Impression (1:05:45)

Seconded!

Joe: "End scene."
Tom: "End call."

You took a bullet for comedy that night, Regular Joe.

P.S. Your John Rhys-Davies was spot on.

Another great segment: when Tom riffed off most of the Spectacle episode featuring The Police.

I'd like to nominate Andrew WK for Best Guest. Andrew WK's theme song for Mike was fantastic. "He's more in sync then you think!"

Ben Kharakh deserves something.  He's not the best, but he's reliably good.  He's like a Hershey bar.

Holy Smokes why did I re-listen to that slop of a call!! I said "urine", and I almost said the SH word. I also sound kinda girly, which I don't like. Still, honor to be nominated!

Saddest Caller - The guy who got pencils for Christmas, then never asked for anything again
Best Call - The Williamsburg Hipster AKA a man who is trapped by his own existence - maybe my favorite of the year (my friend chantal's performance space? fribble? lil angel boy?)
Rookie of the Year - Wally Wackyman
Best Guest - Paul F. Tompkins (for the gathering of the juggalos and so much more)

The Bad Guys Won conversation w/Patton and the clips from the braggards 1986 New York Mets' record produced in their spring training. These guys beat the Boston Red Sox in the World Series that year so...are they really that bad? Yes, Eff them.

The whole episode is great. It felt like Patton was co-hosting w/Tom. Tombstone Kid from outside Ottawa finally gets to interview Matt Fraction under the aegis of Tom and Patton. I don't care the least about comic books but I've read them and loved them when young and appreciate this awesome conversation ("they're both under 'I', the 'Invincible Iron Man' and 'Iron Man'.", Matt The last words uttered before entering the City of Stone.

My nomination for Saddest Caller might be the high-schooler who calls in with tired Chuck Norris/Mr. T jokes. That was painful - way to latch on to tired internet fads. I'll see what I can do to dig up her name. It's from the November 24 SIX HOUR EPIC!
