One of Philly’s most popular bands hits the studio and makes a good old-fashioned indie rock record.
I've clearly been mislead as to what "indie rock" is. But when put in that context, the Hooters do stomp all over Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah! by virtue of the fact that the Hooters' songs have actual hooks.
I was somewhat surprised to learn that the Hooters' 2nd album contains a cover of Love's "She Comes in Colors." I suppose in the mid-80s that would get you at least as much cred as, say, the Three O'Clock.
