2nd Annual Shorty Awards

If you tweet, you might be interested.

I just found out about these but they're Twitter awards. NY Times compares them to the Oscar's or Tony's. Ted Leo has been nominated and just passed Pink. I nominated Scharpling and Wurster individually, as well as WFMU.

Yeah, to be in the top 10 in humor right now, an FOT approved candidate would only need 146 votes. If you decide to do this, which would be great, it says "I nominate...for a Shorty Award in (category)" but that's really voting. Then it tweets it, so go on over there and vote!

Right now, Ted Leo is 17th in the music category, which is great and he's got 89 votes. I think 89 people would volunteer to give him their subway seat, let alone take 2 seconds to vote for him.

Hearts of Steele (CSteele82 on Twitter) broke the news that Ted Leo is in the Top 10! He needs 25 more votes to get to #9. Currently, Britney Spears is at the Top with 575 votes in music but the nominations go all month, then are narrowed down in February.  I think we can get all our FOTlebrities on this list.

I'm also on the "Do It Now" plan so, forgive me if I reply to my own threads.
