I know there are no "official" discounts for showing your FOT card at businesses, but I think there are some IMPLIED ones:

Lady Foot Locker: 15% off with promo code LEANTO.

Panera: Free wifi with sandwich purchase, as well as a laptop storage unit. Limit 2 per person.

Benny Tudino: 2 for 1 slice with the promo code SLOBS.

Present your FOT card at selected grocery stores, and you can buy one Faygo and get the other free.

You know, reading about all of these great discounts makes me wish I had an FOT card. But alas, I don't.

I found a few out here in Los Angeles.

If you present your card at South Street Philly Cheesesteak in either Burbank, Westwood, or at Dodger's Stadium, they will charge you double.

Present your card at any Los Angeles Barnes & Nobles and they will GIVE you the book of your choice, if you promise to take at least five items from the clearance vestibule.

If you present your card at the W Hotel in Westwood on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night and plan a wake-up call later than 6:30am, 2008's Rookie of the Year Steve in North Hollywood will wake you up by nudging you.

I tried to get a discounted Da Bomb burger at Ye Olde Burger Barn, and Augie Richards promised he'd honour the FOT discount, but when I got my bill at the end, it was charged at $38. Furious, I spoke to my server, and she pointed out that the usual price was $49, and a discount WAS applied.

Oh, see, I picked up on the accents about halfway through.  At least they were *trying* to do something positive.


But I want to make sure everyone knows that High Point is part of the Tri"ad" not the Tri"angle" (we have both).   That is all.
