Scorsese is also going 3D for his next one.

Quote from: the article cited above

“We are doing something no one has done with 3-D,”  Herzog says.

... He's going to use it to document PAINTINGS, a more-or-less 2-D medium. I love this guy!

Disappointing. 3D is for children.

Sure, now it is. But peanuts probably would have been as underused as pistachios without George Washington Carver. 3-D has always had the potential to grow beyond its roots as a shock and awe tactic for kids, maybe this is it's moment!

Why am I pushing this point to a film dude? I must be plum loco.

Is this the most profound analogy ever uttered on the FOT Board?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

he's using a 3-D camera to film stalactites in a cave in France.

look at this interview from Roger Ebert's site.

I'm over to the left, off the screen. ten feet away from idol. mortified. unable to utter a word.

I can hear you judging me.

Can't wait for Nosferatu 3-D when Kinski waves his fingernails out in the audience.

Might as well point out that the Werner Herzog Collection box set is on sale for $8.99 at Best Buy. Any one of the films in it would be worth that much and more by themselves.

That is a steal. I paid nearly 5 times that price.
