Paul, there is a very good record store somewhat close to Philly that has used records, although not a huge selection,  in Princeton, NJ. Princeton Record Exchange.  Worth a short drive.

Thanks for the tip!

Paul, Princeton Record Exchange is great! Definitely worth a trip.  There are lot's of great places in Philly too, though. There's Beautiful World Syndicate in South Philly and West Philly.  Tons of used records at both locations. Long in the Tooth on Sansom between 20th and 21st always has interesting used stuff in their new arrival bin.  It's not a very large place but it's shocking how many used records and CD's they squeeze in there.  The owners are very nice people as well.

Thanks, I went to Long in the Tooth last weekend and I think it is gunna be my place for pre-orders because they put stuff ou the Friday before. Have you been to Philadelphia Record Exchange? I am going to go there tommorow on my day off.

If you're ever near Nashville, there's a billion old records at the Great Escape, many for $3 or less, a large portion of which have been there since the 70s. It's near the Vandy campus.

I found a lot of good stuff at Grimey's when I was in Nashville. I usually hit a record store every city I visit. Reckless in Chicago is good. Easy Street in Seattle.

I love Grimey's, too, but those guys have an eye for junk and keep it out of the store. The guys at The Great Escape don't seem to know as much, or have the philosophy that if you bring it in, we will pretty much buy it, so it's more like a treasure hunt for diamonds in the rough.

It's true, the best record stores for finding gems at a good price are the ones where the employees don't know a whole lot about music.

in my experience, more often than not, it's because the guys who do know what's going on tend to keep the good stuff for themselves.  :\

I went to Beautiful World today and found a lot of stuff. Mostly everything is between $3-5. Tomorrow there is a big Flea Market a few blocks over. They're gunna have a lot of dollar records.

Anyone know the best place to go to keep on top of when new singles come out? I always seem to come too late and the 7"s that were release for $4 are now going for $10+. Is there some secret way to keep on top of all releases? Insound?

I've never had any problems ordering records from Amazon.

I really like Gravity Records in Wilmington. Tom said that he liked it too.

Yeh I have a Prime account. It's awesome but a lot of stuff sells out quick and when it says stuff is out of stock then it could arrive weeks later. So I was searching for a source to keep track of all the good new releases.
